Responsibilities Assemble furniture and vehicle upholstery components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Reupholster existing furniture pieces using various upholstery techniques, ensuring a perfect fit and finish. Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, sewing machines, and cutting equipment to manipulate fabric materials, leather, foam, wood, and other materials. Interpret blueprint specifications accurately to guide the assembly or repair process. Perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy materials safely during assembly or reupholstering projects. Repair damaged upholstery by replacing fabric materials or reconditioning existing components to restore original quality. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards at all times. Requirements Demonstrated attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Experience in upholstery techniques such as reupholstering, fabric cutting, sewing, and repair work. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and sewing machines used in upholstery work. Knowledge of fabric materials, leather handling, woodworking basics, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Ability to perform manual tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely. Familiarity with auto restoration or furniture assembly is a plus but not required. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for precision in assembly and repair tasks.
