Job Description
Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices with a particular focus on high growth and ingenuity. Our team is growing quickly and proud of the fact that our custom-made devices continue to make a huge difference in the lives of medical professionals and their patients. Our employees are actively involved in the design, engineering and manufacture of technologically advanced medical devices that ensure that we meet our customer's quality specifications for each product we produce. We are looking for an Assembler to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule. You will assemble and inspect products prior to delivery. What You'll Do:
Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with established procedures, standards and blueprint production Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners Disassembles, re-works or salvages scrap parts Operates drill presses, hand drills, clicker press or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation May operate forklift upon completing certification requirements Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards; Removes small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish Inspects product for quality defects including but not limited to: missing brackets, damaged brackets, incorrect artwork, screw gauges, etc.What You'll Need:
High School diploma or equivalent 1-3 months related experience and/or training Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System. Ability to lift up to 50 poundsWhat You Won't Do:
