1 st Shift Join the Hyflex Team Hyflex Corporation is seeking a mechanically inclined Pump Assembly Technician to join our Pumps team. This hands-on manufacturing position builds everything from small subassemblies to complete electro-mechanical pump and mixer systems. Our work is typically low-volume and varied, with many builds consisting of only one to five units at a time. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys mechanical assembly, working with tools, reading blueprints, solving problems, and building equipment from individual components through final assembly. What You'll Do As a Pump Assembly Technician, you will assemble pumps, mixers, hydraulic assemblies, subassemblies, and complete electro-mechanical equipment according to specifications. You will read and follow blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and other technical documentation while using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and appropriate thread sealants to complete mechanical and hydraulic assemblies. You will verify that the correct components and quantities are available before and during assembly, perform detailed assembly steps accurately, and inspect completed work for quality, workmanship, and conformance to specifications. You will also identify assembly or product issues and assist with resolving problems before equipment moves to the next stage of production. In addition, you will record labor time and issue parts to work orders using the company's production system, monitor tools, parts, and supplies, and communicate material needs when inventory is low. You will manually operate material handling cranes and forklifts in accordance with company training and safety requirements, to safely move materials and equipment. You will also assist with packaging, receiving, shipping, and other production activities as needed. This position also includes cross-training on other jobs within the department to support production needs and develop additional skills. You will be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, follow company safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members and other departments. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Candidate must have 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience, along with a high school diploma or GED. Trade school or vocational training is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and other technical documentation, and should have experience using hand tools, power tools, and torque tools. Candidates should be able to recognize quality or assembly issues, follow detailed multi-step processes, and communicate concerns clearly is important. Candidates should also be willing to cross-train and rotate between different jobs within the department. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is an active manufacturing position that requires the ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, squat, twist, and perform other movements associated with equipment assembly. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders of varying heights, and safely work around manufacturing equipment and materials. The manufacturing environment may include exposure to dust, industrial liquids, solvents, noise, and varying temperatures, including both hot and cold conditions. The position may require occasional overtime based on production requirements, including some Saturdays.
