We're looking for someone with prior assembly, electronics, or soldering experience who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable following production drawings and work instructions. Previous circuit board assembly and soldering experience is highly preferred. Position Summary The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling, soldering, and inspecting electronic components and subassemblies. This position follows work instructions, production drawings, and established procedures to properly fit, connect, and secure components while maintaining quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process. Responsibilities Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures. Gather all materials, components, tools, and equipment needed to begin the assembly process. Take precision measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment of components. Learn and perform basic soldering techniques as required. Read work orders and follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions regarding work to be performed. Position and align parts in the specified relationship using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices. Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, apply epoxy, press-fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts and components. Connect component lead wires to printed circuits and route and connect wires between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, onto chassis panels or other assemblies. Qualifications Related manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred. Basic technical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and work instructions. Ability and willingness to learn the proper use of various tools, equipment, and machines, including epoxy equipment and soldering tools. Good verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of quality control principles and attention to detail. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to accurately read and use a ruler and other basic measuring tools. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school education or related training is a plus. License(s) / Certification(s) Soldering certification is not required; however, prior soldering training or certification is a plus.
Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
