Mechanical Assembly Associate Job Summary The Mechanical Assembly Associate is responsible for performing basic mechanical assembly, labeling, inspection, and production reporting activities in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role requires following detailed instructions, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to all safety and security procedures while working under direct supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly of components, assemblies, and subassemblies following standard operating procedures. Follow detailed verbal and written work instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Apply labels to products, parts, and assemblies using visual aids and established procedures. Assemble inserted components manually while ensuring specifications are met. Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and defects. Use scanners for tracking materials, work orders, and finished products. Operate hand tools and power tools safely during assembly processes. Accurately record and report production output, work status, and any quality concerns. Maintain compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Follow all security requirements and production protocols. Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors and Line Managers. Support additional production-related tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments. Ability to read and follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to inspect completed assemblies and identify defects or inconsistencies. Basic experience using scanners and production tracking equipment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work under close supervision and follow established procedures. Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs regularly. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an assembly line or manufacturing production setting. Experience working with repetitive assembly processes. Familiarity with quality inspection procedures. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and manufacturing best practices. Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and workloads. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
