The Engineering Technician is responsible for assembly and testing of medical instruments and prototypes, including single use. Position Summary The Assembler II performs a variety of assembly, fabrication, inspection, and testing tasks to build and support mechanical, electronic, and/or electro-mechanical products and subassemblies. This role works with moderate independence to assemble components, follow detailed work instructions, and ensure products meet quality and performance standards. The position may support multiple stages of the production process, including assembly, wiring, soldering, testing, inspection, and packaging. The following duties are representative but not all-inclusive: Assemble, align, and join components, parts, and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Install, route, and connect wiring, cables, and electronic components per diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Perform soldering and basic fabrication tasks to complete assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and written procedures to ensure accurate assembly. Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications and company standards. Operate basic test equipment to verify functionality of assemblies and finished products. Support packaging and final inspection processes, including verifying product accuracy and recording results as needed. Maintain organized workstations, track materials, and ensure inventory accuracy at the workstation level. Handle materials and equipment safely, including use of lifting devices such as pallet jacks where applicable. Follow all safety procedures, including MPI, OSHA, MSDS, and PPE requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve routine assembly issues; escalate more complex problems to supervision. May perform work in specialized environments (e.g., cleanroom) depending on department.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements Education:

High school or equivalent; vocational school graduate preferred.

Experience:

Typically 1-2 years of assembly experience or progression from Assembler I Experience in mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical assembly preferred for some areas as needed.

Skills:

Fully competent as Assembler I Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and schematics Basic soldering and assembly skills Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment Basic computer skills (data entry, Microsoft Office, production systems) Strong attention to detail and quality focus Ability to follow standardized processes while working independently

Physical Requirements:
