Monday-Friday, first shift (7am - 3:30pm)

Location:

Worcester, MA Position Summary This role involves supporting production operations through the assembly, soldering, and inspection of small electronic and electromechanical components. The technician works on a production line and follows established procedures to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency in assembled products. A practical skills evaluation may be conducted onsite, which includes a short timed exercise involving basic soldering tasks and assembly of simple components using written instructions. Candidates are assessed on soldering technique, ability to follow basic fabrication instructions, and performance in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble, mount, and secure small electronic and mechanical components using hand tools and soldering equipment Perform hand soldering tasks using standard materials and methods for lead-free assembly work Read and follow basic fabrication instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly procedures Conduct basic quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications Identify and report assembly issues or defects to supervisory staff Perform rework or repair tasks as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including tools and equipment Support additional production-related duties as assigned Position Level Works under general supervision Limited independent decision-making responsibilities Primarily focused on task execution within defined procedures Required Skills Ability to perform hand soldering and pass an internal skills verification process Good manual dexterity for working with small components Ability to follow written instructions and basic technical documentation No prior office software experience required Experience & Education No formal education required 0-1 year of manufacturing or production experience preferred Prior soldering or technical training strongly preferred Relevant technical certification or training is a plus Work Environment & Physical Requirements Extended periods of work at a bench or workstation Repetitive hand assembly and soldering tasks Occasional movement between workstations and light lifting (up to approximately 25 lbs) Requires sustained focus and strong visual attention to detail Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy over long periods Manufacturing environment may include exposure to temperature variation, dust, and other minor workplace conditions Adherence to safety practices is required at all times #CNX100
