• Job Title: Production Assembler
• Job Description
• The Production Assembler is responsible for covering terminated connectors of various cable assemblies, applying components to secure cables, and ensuring quality workmanship in accordance with customer specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Responsibilities
• + Cover terminated connectors of various cable assemblies including D-sub and circular military connectors.

+ Torque circular backshells to customer specifications using torque wrenches and strap wrenches.

+ Apply various components such as Teflon tape, metal tie bands, and securing materials to properly secure cables and assemblies.

+ Apply sealants, adhesives, glues, epoxies, and injectable molding compounds into and around connectors and backshells as required.

+ Wrap and shrink labels to cable assemblies in precise locations according to customer measurement specifications.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, spec sheets, and assembly instructions.

+ Utilize American standard measurements accurately during assembly and inspection processes.

+ Perform work in accordance with workmanship standards, quality procedures, and production requirements.

+ Maintain clean and organized workstations and properly care for tools and equipment.

+ Assist with quality inspections and ensure assemblies meet customer and company standards.

+ Meet productivity expectations while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

+ Successfully complete required skills testing, quality/workmanship evaluations, and productivity assessments.

• Essential Skills
• + Assembly and cable assembly experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly.

+ Proficiency with hand tools including torque wrenches, strap wrenches, cutters, and assembly tools.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

+ Basic math and measurement skills using American standard measurements.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + J-STD-001, AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC 620 class 2 and 3 certifications are a plus. + Previous cable assembly, manufacturing, or related production experience preferred.

Employees primarily perform bench work, seated in a comfortable environment without the need to be on their feet all day. First shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 5 am to 3 pm, with Fridays open for overtime.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $17.

50 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
