Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and punctual Wood Shop Fabricator to support our warehouse projects. These projects include building and modifying items such as elevator cab panels, wall systems, ceilings, doors, trim, handrails, and other custom wood components. Work hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints and work orders to fabricate elevator cab interiors and components. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood products using hand tools and woodworking machinery. Operate table saws, panel saws, routers, sanders, drills, and other shop equipment safely and accurately. Work with materials such as plywood, hardwoods, laminates, veneers, and decorative finishes. Assemble fabricated components and ensure proper fit and alignment. Inspect finished work for accuracy, dimensions, quality, and workmanship. Follow safety procedures, production schedules, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work with other shop personnel as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Willingness to learn and work as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely. Reliable transportation to the warehouse in Capitol Heights, MD. Wood fabrication or shop experience is helpful, but not required.
