VUE Frame Fabricator Job Description The VUE Frame Assembler is responsible for fabricating VUE frames using aluminum extrusion, hardware, Plexiglas and other materials. This role includes cutting aluminum extrusion with a double head miter saw; drilling, countersinking, and cleaning holes using appropriate tools; assembling frames according to spec sheets, blueprints, or schematics; and installing Plexiglas during the assembly process. The assembler is also responsible for installing rivet nuts, stacking completed frames on pallets, protecting the frames with packing material, wrapping the pallets, recording pallet dimensions, completing the required paperwork, and transporting finished pallets to the dock for shipment. Requirements The VUE Frame Fabricator must be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities: Read and accurately use both imperial and metric tape measures. Operate and perform preventive maintenance on an end mill, such as a Bridgeport knee mill, to drill, countersink, and tap holes as required. Use a rivet-nut installation tool safely and effectively. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics, and use a computer system to track labor time against assigned orders. Communicate with Project Managers and CAD design personnel when clarification is needed on assigned orders. Stand for extended periods throughout the work shift. Repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift. Stack completed VUE frames measuring 992 mm x 2418 mm on a pallet without assistance. Larger frames may be handled using a team-lift protocol. Use power drills, vernier calipers, and large industrial power saws, including double- and single-blade saws.
