Fives Landis Corp is actively seeking Assembler to join its team in Hagerstown, Maryland. At Fives, we are all driven by a common calling, to prove that industry can do it! Fives Landis Corp is the High Precision Machines Division of Fives specializes in the design and supply of various types of machines for numerous markets such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Rail, Shipbuilding, Energy, Space, etc. The division has approximately 1,800 employees worldwide working in about 20 locations in Asia, Europe, and North America. It is with you that industry can do it! We are currently seeking Assembler who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it!
Pay Range:
$22 - $25 (rate offered will be commensurate with experience) At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose.
Your role will be to:
Must be available to work 2nd Shift as required by operational needs. Assemble complex grinding machines and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment. Read and interpret assembly drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and written and verbal instructions to accurately build machines, sub-assemblies, hydraulic piping, and component hookups. Safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment in accordance with safety standards and departmental procedures. Inspect parts and completed work to identify defects, verify quality specifications, and distinguish between various mechanical and hydraulic components. Complete required production, quality, and documentation forms to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement. At Fives Landis Corp. and under the direction of the Assembly Manager, you will join the Erecting Team.

Strong mechanical aptitude and its application to machine tools, specifically grinding machines. Ability to use a wide variety of hand power, and air tools.
