Assembly Technician — Precision Instruments Baltimore, MD (on-site) | Full-time | $25-$32/hr, depending on experience AirPhoton builds precision optical instruments for air-quality and atmospheric measurement, as part of the international GRASP-Earth alliance. We're hiring an experienced assembly technician who can build, test, and calibrate complete instruments independently and to a high standard. Responsibilities Build wire harnesses, circuit boards, front panels, pneumatic assemblies, and complete instruments Solder boards and wire connections and crimp to a consistently high standard, working from schematics, drawings, and BOMs Perform electrical and pneumatic QC testing and troubleshoot issues Calibrate finished instruments and document results Manage production jobs and inventory in our ERP system Follow shop safety standards and use appropriate PPE during assembly and testing Qualifications Several years' hands-on experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly Strong soldering (boards and wires) and wire-crimping skills Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and BOMs Comfortable using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and basic shop math Comfort with electrical/pneumatic test equipment; familiarity with ERP and basic CAD Able to lift 50 lbs and do detailed close-up work High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications IPC-A-610 or
