Entry Level Assembly Technician Job Purpose:

The Assembly Technician, also referred to as the line operator, is responsible for the assembly of all units within our production process, including kit building, finished units, and packaging. They must follow lean manufacturing practices, including standardized workflow, and complete units within scheduled timelines for shipping commitments. They must be able to balance a fast paced work environment while maintaining the highest quality standards. The assembly technician is responsible for maintaining station tools, cleanliness of bench surfaces, and schedule 5S audits; they are encouraged to make suggestions on how to maximize standard work flow and cycle times. They are also expected to develop a daily assessment of damaged work in progress and report findings to the Zone Team Leader or Supervisor. They are accountable for the quality of all builds, end-of-line packaging, and in-process production.

Assembly Technician Job Duties:

Train in and rotate through each position on the line. Understand and follow standardize work. Practice 5S and LEAN principles.

Requirements :

Strong work ethic. Attention to detail. Willingness to learn. Reliable transportation to and from work. Arrive and be ready to work on time daily. Ableto work 40+ hrs./wk plus weekends if needed.

The Assembly Technician has no managerial duties and reports directly to the Zone Team Leader.
