Job Responsibilities Assemble electronic and mechanical components, modules, boards, panels, frames, cables, and subassemblies. Follow visual aids, layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and assembly instructions. Set up initial layouts for assembly operations. Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and related production equipment. Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. Conduct quality inspections according to applicable specifications. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies and subassemblies. Support prototype and experimental assembly activities. Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic manufacturing equipment. Report equipment malfunctions and production abnormalities. Support manufacturing, processing, packaging, and distribution operations. Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material storage as required.
