Wire Harness Assembler Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Wire Harness Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will operate wire harness processing equipment and assemble products using assembly documentation, parts lists, and hand tools. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring that our products meet both internal and customer specifications. Responsibilities Operate wire harness processing equipment. Assemble wire harness products using assembly documentation, parts lists, and hand tools. Inspect completed products to ensure they meet both internal and customer specifications. Cut, strip, mark, and terminate wires using hand and semi-automated equipment. Manually route wires with the use of blueprints and written instructions. Utilize braiding machines to coat wire harnesses. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in team continuous improvement projects. Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly. Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings. Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly. Knowledge of wiring, crimping, and soldering techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in manufacturing is an asset. Work Environment Our facility is a small shop with about 50 team members, primarily composed of assemblers and inspectors. We specialize in manufacturing lights and covers for the RV industry, offering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schoolcraft, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
