Job Description

Duties:
Assemble tools following respective procedures and engineering drawings. Ensure highest quality standards by inspecting items produced against quality customer and company specifications. Package according to standard or specific customer requirements. Initiate quality review process on nonconforming components. Train others according to assembly, department, and company procedures Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting of machine and equipment, general housekeeping Initiate process improvements suggestions Inventory cycle counts Complete computer transactions in the manufacturing software. Transactions include MRO item moves to initiate repurchasing of shop supplies, transaction history to ensure quality standards are met, job completions, cycle counts, inventory moves. Occasionally create and print Word documents for identifying components.
Level of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of department/company policies and procedures including filling out forms. Intermediate problem solving skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic computer skills Basic knowledge of reading assembly drawings Intermediate knowledge of department manufacturing software screens and transactions Intermediate knowledge of general work practices and all tools/equipment in the area. Intermediate knowledge of assembly and packaging processes Basic reading and math skills Ability to read and understand work order information Ability to lift material Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully Ability to work in a team environment, rotating work tasks without direct supervision Ability to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions Ability to operate all printers Ability to work in a team environment.
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma/
GED Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting of 25-50 pounds/frequent lifting of 10-24 pounds Occasional carrying of 25-50 pounds/Frequently carry 10-24 pounds Medium to high level of focus and concentration.
