Job Title:
Final Assembler Job Description The Final Assembler plays a key role in building large industrial generators by completing the final stages of assembly, including exterior panels, trailers, and tanks. This role involves working from detailed blueprints and schematics, using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to produce high-quality finished products. The position is hands-on, physically active, and well-suited to individuals with mechanical aptitude and an interest in production or automotive-style work. Responsibilities Perform final assembly of large industrial generators according to detailed specifications. Assemble exterior panels and install them securely on generator units. Assemble and fit trailers and tanks that support and house the generators. Complete the final stages of generator assembly to prepare units for shipment or installation. Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively during all assembly tasks. Work directly from specific blueprints and schematics based on customer requirements to ensure accurate builds. Crate finished products as needed to prepare them for transport and delivery. Lift and move components weighing up to 50 pounds in a safe and controlled manner. Follow production schedules and work collaboratively with the production team to meet quality and timeline expectations. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in an open bay/warehouse production environment. Essential Skills At least 6 months of experience in large product mechanical assembly or a closely related field. Mechanical assembly experience that may include work on automotive systems or similar mechanical products. Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools. Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics with attention to detail. Capability to lift and handle items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a production or shop environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background or interest in automotive work, such as experience as a car mechanic, is welcome. Experience in production, carpentry, or similar hands-on trades is beneficial. Comfort working with a variety of mechanical components and fasteners. Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced technical responsibilities over time. Reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to producing high-quality work. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
