Job Description

Fenton Powersports is growing and looking for a hands-on Assembly & Service Technician who loves working on engines and power equipment. This role is ideal for a motorcycle/powersports tech school graduate or someone with relevant mechanical experience who wants to build real-world skills in a fast-paced shop. We sell and service dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters, go-karts, and other small-engine powersports equipment. Your job will be to assemble new units, diagnose issues, and keep customers riding. What You'll Do Assemble new dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters, and go-karts from crate to showroom-ready Perform pre-pickup inspections Diagnose and repair small engine and mechanical issues Perform routine service: oil changes, carb work, brake adjustments, chain/sprocket work, electrical troubleshooting Work on customer repair tickets with speed and accuracy Keep shop area organized and safe Communicate clearly with manager about parts, timelines, and repairs
What We're Looking For Preferred:
Graduate of a motorcycle/powersports/small engine tech program OR Experience with: Small engines, motorcycles, ATVs, lawn equipment, or similar mechanical work Using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Reading parts diagrams and service manuals You'll thrive here if you: Like working with your hands more than sitting at a desk Take pride in clean, correct mechanical work Can work independently without being micromanaged Move quickly but carefully Are dependable and show up on time Physical Requirements Lift up to 75 lbs Stand for extended periods Work in a shop environment (heat/cold, noise, tools) Pay & Schedule Competitive hourly pay based on experience Full-time hours No benefits offered at this time Why This Is a Great Job for the Right Person Work on fun machines every day Build real mechanical skills fast No corporate red tape Opportunity to grow with a local business Perfect role for a recent tech school grad to get real shop experience
