Job Description

STS Technical Services is hiring an Assembler Group Lead in Liberty, Missouri. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt role supporting production and assembly operations in a manufacturing environment. The Assembler Group Lead supports the Supervisor in overseeing daily departmental operations, guiding team members, managing workflow and helping ensure production is completed safely, efficiently and to quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience, hands-on assembly knowledge and the ability to coach, train and lead others on the production floor.

Production Position Summary The Group Leader supports the Supervisor in managing daily departmental operations to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This position requires a strong understanding of department processes, equipment, tools and workflow. The Group Leader helps guide team members, manage workflow, support scheduling and materials coordination, solve production issues, coach employees and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned. Perform and demonstrate key departmental tasks with a high level of proficiency Apply knowledge of standards, equipment, tools and workflow to identify and implement process improvements Provide daily feedback, coaching and support to team members to enhance performance Mentor and assist in training new employees Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules Support and enforce production policies and procedures Assign tasks and lead by example through hands-on work Assist with inspections and ensure product quality before final release Interact professionally with customers and customer representatives as needed Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including team members, management and HR Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow safety protocols and 6S standards Minimum Qualifications 6 months or more of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet business and production demands Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance in person and on site Must be authorized to work in the United States Standout Qualifications Previous leadership experience Associate degree or trade certificate related to the job function Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Working Conditions The following represents general working conditions for this role.
