7:00am-3:30pm Seeking candidates with the potential to grow into a Fabricator role. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills who can work independently and take initiative. Primary responsibilities will include stocking parts, organizing materials, maintaining shop organization and cleanliness, and supporting overall shop operations. This position is intended as a developmental opportunity for someone interested in learning fabrication skills and advancing within the company. Don't miss this potential to hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO. Fabricator Helper Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Stock and organize materials, parts, and supplies to ensure production areas remain adequately supplied
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment by performing routine housekeeping and material organization tasks
- Assist fabricators and welders with material preparation, staging, and general shop support activities
- Move, sort, and store materials and finished products in designated locations
- Follow verbal and written instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material needs and work priorities
- Demonstrate initiative by identifying tasks that need attention and proactively supporting shop operations
- Learn fabrication processes, tools, and equipment to develop skills for advancement into a Fabricator role
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while performing daily job responsibilities
Fabricator Helper Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Forklift Certified (or the ability to obtain certification)
- Must be able to consistently lift 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools as well as fabrication tools
- Reliability, hardworking, and a desire to learn
- Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/32 inches
- Good basic math skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to accurately count and verify parts quantities
