What You'll Do As a Fabrication Technician / Welder, you will play a mission-critical role in keeping our customers up and running! You'll use your expertise, abilities, and problem-solving skills to fabricate and repair equipment to bring positive results for customers while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to reading and interpret blueprints or digital models. Move steel with a forklift and overhead crane. Cut material to size using a band saw, cutting torch or grinder. Layout parts and prep material for welding. Setup machines and weld carbon and stainless steels with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes. Weld in all positions Pass various types of visual and nondestructive inspections on completed work Follow safety regulations and PPE requirements Maintain a neat and clean work area Must supply welding hood and hand tools Work alone or as a team Continuous learning of products, applications, technology, market conditions and competitive advantages.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Desire and ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing field Ability to work overtime on short notice High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service Solid basic computer knowledge Works well independently or with a team Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials Ability to work under little supervision Customer-first attitude Ability to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions Adaptable and comfortable with changing environments and protocols, understanding other duties might be required
Preferred:
