Non-Exempt Position Summary The Plastic Laminate Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication of high-quality laminate components including countertops, post-formed tops, panels, and custom parts. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and an understanding of laminate materials, adhesives, and fabrication techniques. This position supports both production and custom work and plays a key role in ensuring finished components meet quality and durability standards. Core Responsibilities Laminate Fabrication Fabricate plastic laminate tops and components Perform post-laminating operations Apply laminate using proper adhesives and techniques Trim, file, and finish edges to high-quality standards Material Preparation Cut substrates accurately Prepare surfaces for adhesion Select appropriate laminates and adhesives Equipment Operation Use routers, laminate trimmers, and hand tools Operate specialty equipment for post-forming (if applicable) Maintain tools and equipment Quality Control Inspect finished parts for: adhesion quality edge finish surface defects Correct minor issues before parts leave department Shop Support Assist with related fabrication tasks Support assembly or specialty work as needed Qualifications Experience with laminate fabrication preferred Strong attention to detail Ability to read drawings and specifications Familiarity with adhesives and materials Ability to work independently Physical Requirements Lifting 50-75 lbs Standing for extended periods Working with adhesives and tools Position Philosophy This role is responsible for producing high-quality laminate components that meet both aesthetic and durability standards. Precision and consistency are critical.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
