Responsibilities Perform specialized testing on components to support nuclear sales and production. Read and perform written instructions in accordance with test procedures. Perform basic electrical testing as assigned. Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic testing. Assist with failure analysis as required. Perform disassembly inspection and assembly of various types of mechanical equipment utilized on diesel engines and steam turbines. Read and comprehend equipment specific manuals as needed to become thoroughly familiar with customer products. Complete required documentation as required. Prepare samples for material testing. Assist with Material Analysis utilizing the following equipment as required: FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) Hardness (Rockwell, Brinell, Knoop) Carbon / Sulfur Determinator Assist with Seismic testing utilizing tri-axial table simulation as required: Set-up and assembly of test fixtures Set-up of monitoring devices to support testing. Configuration of table software to meet requirements. General Operation and maintenance of the seismic table Assist with environmental chamber component testing as required. Other duties as assigned.
