Full Job Description Role Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated professional to handle the assembly, testing, and documentation of mechanical and electrical components.

Core Tasks and Accountabilities:

Construct medical devices by integrating plastic and metal parts following established manufacturing protocols. Operate a variety of equipment including manual and power hand tools, assembly jigs, measurement devices, microscopes, and testing rigs to ensure product integrity. Follow technical documentation like Bills of Materials, assembly diagrams, and production reports to build products and document outcomes. Execute specialized tasks such as soldering, crimping, mechanical fastening, ultrasonic welding, and adhesive bonding using epoxies or RTV. Prepare assembly kits by utilizing parts lists, scanning technology, and inventory management systems. Complete daily equipment inspections and startup or shutdown procedures to support operational readiness. Monitor assembly quality at every stage and report any operational discrepancies to leadership to maintain high standards. Keep your workspace organized and tidy to prevent hazards, while actively engaging in safety training and reporting potential risks to management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all production meets quality, volume, and regulatory standards by strictly following approved operating procedures. Maintain high levels of precision and report any deviations from standard process sheets to your supervisor immediately. Partner with engineering staff and team leads to troubleshoot issues and refine procedures for better efficiency. Keep precise records regarding quality, work-in-progress, test data, and labor hours to support project tracking. Comply with all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements including ISO, QSR, and FDA guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

Approximately two years of practical experience within a production setting. Proven background in the assembly, testing, and record-keeping of mechanical and electrical hardware. Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential for team success. Flexibility to handle diverse responsibilities and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment. Background in medical device production is considered a significant asset. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and medical device regulatory standards is highly desirable. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are necessary for high-quality output. Ability to perform intricate assembly tasks while utilizing a microscope. Proficiency in using precision tools such as tweezers, torque drivers, and magnification equipment.
