NJ CIRCUIT BREAKER TECHNICIAN

•Breakers & Controls NJ is a rapidly expanding electrical products company. We are hiring technicians with backgrounds in mechanics, skilled labor and engineering for hands-on work in our rapidly growing breaker modification and refurbishing department. Immediate training and coaching will be provided by our warehouse management team for all workday tasks and associated responsibilities. Cross-applicable skillset, solid work ethic and previous experience are highly beneficial to the position.

JOB DETAILS

The candidate will be working in a comfortable and controlled workshop environment testing, cleaning and reconditioning circuit breakers and other electrical products alongside our growing team. Prior electrical, field and technical experience is a strong plus, but not required. Our environment is comfortable, nurturing, and family-owned. Responsibilities The candidate must be flexible in embracing tasks and seek out contributions to our team-oriented mindset. Must be a fast learner and bring a competent work ethic to the table. This job will start with a basic introduction to the work environment and simpler hands-on tasks in an assistive capacity. Work tasks such as breaker testing, cleaning, quality control and modification of items are unique and challenging for hands-on individuals. Daily hands-on tasks include inspecting and cleaning new or reconditioned parts, performing basic electrical testing with screwdrivers and power tools, replacing individual components, creating labels, and shrink-wrapping products for presentation while following checklists and cross-referencing inventory across the warehouse. Candidates should be comfortable occasionally lifting up to 40-50 lbs and working alongside an electrician on more complex jobs, with bilingual skills and general electrical knowledge being a plus.
