Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable talented Scenic Artist/Fabricator to join our fabrication shop and contribute to the creation of stunning visual environments. As a Scenic Artist, you will work closely with our design and production teams to bring concepts to life through your expertise in foam sculpting, painting, texturing, and finishing. Your work will be integral to transforming raw materials into captivating scenic elements that enhance the overall narrative and atmosphere of our projects.Responsibilities:
Interpret and execute artistic designs as per project requirements. Forming, sculpting, preparing, and finishing hard coated foam objects. Create textures, faux finishes, aging effects, and scenic treatments. Prepare and apply scenic paint and coatings using various techniques. Collaborate with designers, craftsmen, and project managers to achieve artistic and technical goals. Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the fabrication process. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines while meeting the client's vision.Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Scenic Artist/Fabricator in a fabrication shop, entertainment industry, or related field. Experience with sculpting characters and scenic elements from foam. Familiarity with application of bondo, fiberglass, hardcoat, plaster, epoxy, and resin. Ability to utilize various scenic painting techniques to accomplish different finishes (ex. Distressing, marble) Creative vision and understanding of how to construct sought after result. Ability to sew/Knowledge of various fabric materials a plus! Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and a passion for artistic expression. Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities. Effective communication skills and ability to take direction. Experience with large-scale projects or themed entertainment productions.Benefits:
