Southco, Inc. About the role Trained and able to produce parts and assemble parts on all manual, hand-assembly work benches, and also on all semi-automated assembly benches. Able to run multiple machines simultaneously and maintain standard production rates. Perform basic setup and operator duties of the following work centers including understanding Standard Work instructions, performing operator Preventative Maintenance on equipment. Able to run a combination of 15 yellow and orange work centers as defined by the Assembly skills matrix. May include some basic level one Assembler III work centers.
Compensation:
$18.00-$21.00 What you will be doing Able to accurately produce parts by operating all manual, semi-automated work benches to achieve and maintain at least the minimum productivity rate of 80%. Perform set up activities, if trained and as required, on all manual work benches and semi-automated benches/machines. (May include fully automated machines) Able to trouble shoot equipment and do machine repairs. Perform quality checks, audits and inspections to ensure products are defect free. Follow established process and procedures to achieve zero quality defects. Enter data into the business software as required to complete the assembly job. If required, use the core system to collect and record data. Follow standard work procedures before, during and at the end of the shift as defined by the department guidelines. (5S) About you High School Diploma or Equivalent. Able to learn business operating systems. Good manual dexterity, able to sit or stand for 8-hour shift. Able to lift/push/pull up to 33 lbs. Able to train others and demonstrate proper assembly techniques. Quality and Safety conscious. Able to handle multiple priorities. Able to learn to use measuring instruments. 1-3 years successful experience as an Assembler I, maintaining production rates at or above established rates.
