Yellow Factory USA is a new and growing millwork shop located in Maspeth, NY, specializing in high-quality architectural woodworking. We take pride in delivering precision-crafted products and services to our clients. Our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Millwork Finisher to join our dynamic team and help run the daily operations of our millwork shop. The role requires mastery of finishing systems, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent color and sheen across large-scale projects. The ideal candidate can operate both manual spray setups and automated finishing equipment, ensuring efficiency and repeatable quality. This position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team from the ground up and grow with the company. Health insurance is offered after a 90-day probationary period. Responsibilities Prepare wood and MDF components for finishing (sanding, sealing, grain filling, masking). Mix, match, and apply primarily primers, paints, stains, clear coats, and topcoats per project specifications. Operate and maintain Cefla Prima automatic spray line and related finishing equipment. Perform manual spray finishing when required (touch-ups, samples, specialty coatings). Conduct quality inspections and perform necessary touch-ups to meet finish standards. Collaborating with production team members to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery. Maintain clean and organized spray booths, drying racks, and finish materials storage areas. Track material usage, maintain batch logs, and assist in finish formula documentation. Adhering to job specifications and finish standards for each project. Requirements Minimum 5 years of finishing experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, or furniture production. Demonstrated proficiency with coatings (e.g., ICA, Renner, General Finishes, Sherwin-Williams, etc.). Familiarity with industrial machines used for sanding, spraying, and surface preparation and automated finishing equipment Excellent eye for color, texture, and finish consistency. Ability to interpret finish schedules and sample standards. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational and time management skills. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Benefits Hourly Salary:
$25-40/hr negotiable based on experience
