Job Description

Assembly Technician Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Assembly Technician to join our team in Batavia, Ohio . This role is responsible for executing simple to complex mechanical assembly processes and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will handle the fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components and assemblies to very close tolerances. This position requires excellent manual dexterity, comfort working with detailed blueprints, and a strong background in quality assurance practices.

Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Position Duties & Responsibilities Mechanical Assembly:
Install components to precise specifications using a variety of hand and power tools. Complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, occasionally handling complex or delicate parts.
Blueprint & Instruction Reading:
Interpret blueprints, manufacture drawings, Process Flow Instructions, and other written or verbal directions.
Quality & Productivity:
Maintain high quality and productivity standards. Follow visual and written work instructions to complete assigned tasks within the allotted timeframe.
Quality Assurance:
Use calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other QA equipment to accurately measure product dimensions and ensure strict adherence to tolerances.
Workspace Maintenance:
Maintain tools and equipment, including daily cleaning to support workplace housekeeping (5S), and strictly adhere to all plant regulations and safety rules.
Team Support:
Support special projects and perform other manufacturing duties as assigned by leadership.
Position Requirements Education & Experience Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Assembler or General Laborer within a manufacturing/assembly environment.
Tooling:
Demonstrated experience with hand and power tools required.
QA Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of calipers, gauges, micrometers, and standard quality assurance practices.
Skills & Abilities Technical Literacy:
Ability to read product manufacture drawings and blueprints preferred.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of proprietary shipping applications (e.g., UPS, FedEx) is a plus. Attention to

Must possess a high level of attention to detail, organization, and a quality-first mindset.
Communication & Collaboration:
Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and function seamlessly in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Reliability:
Consistent, regular, and prompt attendance is a core requirement.
Certifications:
Ability to operate a forklift is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably. Position requires prolonged periods of sitting, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers. Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00
