About the Role Cincinnati Test Systems (CTS) is a global manufacturer of leak and function test solutions serving a wide range of industries, including transportation, energy, medical, consumer, and industrial manufacturing. CTS is also the contract manufacturing partner for ALPS Inspection, our sister company located within the same Harrison, Ohio facility. The CTS and ALPS teams work closely together to build, test, and deliver automated inspection equipment. We are looking for an Assembly Test Technician to join our Assembly team. In this role, you will help build complete ALPS machines and support the equipment through power-up, testing, troubleshooting, and final debug. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with automated equipment, solving problems, and seeing a machine come together from build through successful operation. What You'll Do Help build and assemble complete automated inspection machines. Work from electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and other technical documentation. Perform first-time machine power-up and startup. Complete electrical device and I/O checkout. Perform mechanical and pneumatic system checkout. Load existing machine and controls programs developed by the ALPS Engineering team. Perform machine setup, functional testing, and final checkout. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues during startup and testing. Work closely with ALPS engineers to identify problems and implement adjustments or corrections. Partner with the Project Manager and Assembly team to keep machine builds moving toward project deadlines. Document test results, issues, and changes as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. What We're Looking For Hands-on experience building, testing, servicing, or troubleshooting automated machinery or industrial equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints. Familiarity with sensors, motors, I/O devices, pneumatics, and other components used in automated equipment. Experience working with PLC/HMI-controlled equipment is preferred. Comfortable using computers to load programs and assist with machine startup and setup. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a logical, systematic way. Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with Assembly, Engineering, and Project Management. Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working toward project deadlines. Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
