Assembly Seat Technician (Seat Assembler)
Job Summary:
An Assembly Seat Technician is responsible for assembling seat components according to production specifications and quality standards. This position involves using hand and power tools, inspecting finished products, and ensuring all seats meet safety and quality requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble seat components, including frames, foam cushions, upholstery, covers, headrests, armrests, and adjustment mechanisms. Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and assembly diagrams. Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely. Inspect assembled seats for quality, fit, function, and appearance. Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or production issues. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area. Package and prepare completed seats for shipping or the next stage of production. Work effectively with team members and supervisors to improve production efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required. Ability to read and follow written instructions. Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude. Standing for extended periods with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Exposure to machinery, production equipment, and moderate noise levels. Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.
