Full Job Description Lift Truck Assembler:
The Lift Truck Assembler performs intermediate- level assembly tasks on lift trucks, focusing on the integration and testing of key systems. This role requires solid technical knowledge and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.Duties & Responsibilities Truck Assemblers:
Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Perform functional tests on assembled components to ensure proper orientation. Identify and resolve assembly issues, escalating complex problems to Class A assemblers or supervisors. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and component usage. Adhere to quality standards and safety guidelines. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent Additional tech training or certification in mechanical assembly preferred. Knowledge & Experience 1.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly tasks. Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems relevant to lift trucks. 2.Experience:
Prior experience in mechanical assembly, particularly with heavy equipment or industrial machinery, is often preferred. 3. Attention toDetail:
Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and blueprints accurately. 4. Problem-Solving Skills- Capability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that arise during assembly. 5.Teamwork:
Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 6.Physical Stamina:
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy components and work in a physically demanding environment. 7.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in mechanical assembly may be beneficial. 8.Experience:
1+ years of experience in lift truck or heavy equipment assembly preferred. 9. Experience reading blueprints This role involves working in a manufacturing or industrial setting where safety and precision are paramount. Skills & Abilities 1.Assembly Tasks:
Assemble parts and components of Class A lift trucks according to blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions. 2.Quality Control:
Inspect and test assembled units to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. 3.Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues related to assembly, ensuring functional and safe operation of the lift trucks. 4.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including parts used, time spent and any issues encountered. 5.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. 6.Collaboration:
Work closely with other assemblers, technicians, and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve assembly challenges. 7.Continuous Improvement:
