Position Summary As an experienced Assembler, you'll play a vital part in helping build extruders. The ideal candidate will assemble, fit and install mechanical components for extrusion machines. You will work from blueprints to ensure all parts meet precise engineering specifications and quality standards. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities Assemble complex extruder machinery components, including screws, die heads, barrels, heating elements and gearboxes. Read and understand blueprints to plan assembly sequences. Align, fit and secure parts using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, calipers). Inspect finished assemblies to ensure correct tolerances, alignment, and functionality before they are shipped to the customer. Identify and report part defects, fitment issues or design discrepancies to supervisor or engineering team. Ensure Quality is consistently good. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow safety rules and procedures at all times. Educational & Technical Skills High school diploma or GED. 13 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a machine shop, manufacturing or extrusion environment. Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements. Ability to read blueprints. Able to follow complicated instructions with precision. High attention to detail. Punctual consistent attendance.
