ASSEMBLY / SHOP TECHNICIAN, LEVEL I & II JOB DESCRIPTION
: Wellhead Assembly / Shop Technicians are responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and testing of pressure control equipment on Oil and Gas storage and production wells.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
: Must be willing to learn all phases of Wellhead Assembly / Shop Technician job duties which include, but are not limited to: Complete Build sheet / Field Service Tickets / Job Safety Analysis / Time Cards and other administrative forms as required Maintain professional behavior and appearance while carrying out services and tasks when representing Great Lakes Wellhead, Inc. Install and/or remove equipment in accordance with applicable technical procedures Assemble, disassemble, test equipment in performance of advanced troubleshooting and repair of equipment Demonstrate basic mechanical ability Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: Greasing and Operation of Large Bore Frac Valves during Frac Operations Maintenance and repair of support equipment during Frac Operations (Generators, Compressors, Accumulators, Grease Manifolds) Pressure Testing and Charting Assembly of Conventional, Multi-Bowl and Uni-Bowl Wellhead Systems Understanding of Flange Torque Operations and Equipment Packing-Off Secondary Wellhead Seals (P-Seal) Drift Fit Hangers, Packoffs, Mandrel, Slips and H-Plates Rebuilding ESD and Manual Gate Valves Inspecting and Painting Assembled Equipment All Other Basic Wellhead Shop Assemblies as needed or required
Other:
Know and understand company quality, operating and technical procedures, and workplace Instructions Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Great Lakes Wellhead, Inc. Perform all work assignments to the highest level of quality and excellence Occasional weekend work as needed during peak production times
QUALIFICATIONS
: Related Oilfield experience (preferred) Previous practical Wellhead knowledge (preferred) Possess a valid drivers license (required) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (required) Ability to demonstrate field/shop competencies in Wellhead mechanical assembly Ability to work closely and professionally with fellow employees Physically able to perform Shop Assembly and Field Service work.
