Prototype Assembler Twinsburg, OH 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 5:30 AM-2:00 PM M-F $21/HR to $25/HR Position Overview The Prototype Assembler is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly of engineered-to-order (ETO) cabinet systems. This role requires the ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, work orders, and customer specifications and translate them into completed physical products. The Prototype Assembler will perform wiring, wire preparation, component installation, labeling, cabinet modification, and mechanical assembly while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Interpret and work from electrical schematics, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications provided by the company and customers. Perform mechanical assembly of components onto electrical panels and cabinets. Assemble and disassemble cabinet doors, accessories, and related components. Perform low-voltage, power, and signal wiring. Select appropriate wiring, components, hardware, and securing methods based on technical documentation. Strip, crimp, terminate, route, and secure electrical wiring. Install and properly position electrical and mechanical components within cabinets and panels. Apply wire, component, and cabinet labels accurately and consistently. Modify cabinets and panels as required to meet project specifications. Maintain consistency, workmanship, and quality across multiple builds. Identify and resolve assembly issues while communicating effectively with team members and other departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Complete assigned builds efficiently while meeting project timelines and quality requirements. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of electrical panel assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Experience with electrical cabinet or control panel assembly. Proficiency using common hand and power tools, including drills, crimpers, torque wrenches, tape measures, and similar equipment. Ability to visualize a finished product and build from technical documentation. Ability to select components, determine proper component placement, and execute assembly independently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, Basic math skills, Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. High school diploma required. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing experience. Previous experience in engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing. Associate degree preferred. Experience working in a production or prototype assembly environment. Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly of custom-built equipment or cabinet systems. #INDETM
