Job Description
Position Summary Short Action Customs is seeking a detail-oriented Processing & Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in preparing, assembling, inspecting, and packaging our products while maintaining the exceptional quality standards our customers expect. ResponsibilitiesProduct Processing Prepare components for assembly through cleaning, deburring, tumbling, polishing, and finishing operations. Operate hand tools and shop equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect incoming and processed parts for defects or inconsistencies. Maintain proper part identification and organization throughout production. Assembly Assemble Short Action Customs original products and components according to established work instructions. Utilize torque specifications, measuring tools, and assembly fixtures to ensure consistency. Perform basic function testing and quality verification of assembled products. Package completed products to company standards. Quality Control Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using: Digital calipers Micrometers Thread gauges Torque tools Go/No-Go gauges Identify and report non-conforming parts. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to follow written work instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Manufacturing or assembly experience. Experience with precision measuring tools. Familiarity with firearms or the shooting industry. Experience working in lean manufacturing environments.
