The 1st shift Assembly Technician is an entry-level position focused on building, assembling, and packaging industrial compressor equipment across various production areas. This role offers hands-on training with opportunities for skill development and cross training. Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

1+ years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or mechanical trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC); steel or fabrication experience is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read blueprints, use simple math, and take accurate tape measure readings.

Proficiency with standard hand and power tools (employee must provide basic personal tool set).

Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, initiative, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., reach, pull, climb, and perform labor in non-climate-controlled industrial settings.

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assemble, disassemble, and package mechanical components and compressor units for shipment.

Operate production equipment, shop machinery, surface preparation tools, and material handling equipment (e.g., cranes, saws).

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including tools and equipment.

Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing required PPE in dynamic shop environments.
