As a Vinyl Quality Control Assembler, you'll be an essential part of ensuring the high quality and functionality of shelter products, working in a fast-paced, hands-on role that offers plenty of opportunities for development. You'll play a critical role in verifying the quality of shelter components, including assembly and inspection of vinyl structures. Collaborating closely with the production team, you'll help maintain high standards by checking, assembling, and preparing products for shipment, making a tangible impact each day. What You'll Do As a Vinyl Quality Control Assembler, you will be responsible for: Assembling vinyl shelter components such as walls, roofs, floors, and doors to confirm proper fit and functionality. Inspecting zippers, seams, vinyl welds, velcro fittings, and all accessories for quality and adherence to specifications. Physically testing and measuring materials to ensure they meet design requirements, using approved drawings and tools. Cleaning finished vinyl products in preparation for final shipment, including folding and rolling products into packaging. Verifying finished products against specifications, returning items for re-work if necessary, and confirming successful re-work completion. Reporting any quality concerns or defects to the department lead or supervisor promptly. Documenting inspection results by completing detailed reports, logs, and inputting data into quality databases. Checking raw materials and fabricated components for imperfections such as incorrect cuts, scratches, missing pieces, or crooked seams. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in manufacturing or quality control is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift. Comfortable sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to crawl or crouch during assembly and inspection processes. Strong visual acuity for reading instructions, operating equipment, and inspecting finished goods. Familiarity with hand tools such as utility knives, scissors, and tape measures.
