Job Title:
Manufacturing Technician Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Technician, where you will play a crucial role in the production process by using molds and presses to produce first and regular production parts efficiently and independently. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures, recognizing any deviations from standard practices. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Operate press machines to create parts using molds. Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions. Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length. Place various materials by hand in molds, on mandrels, or in build fixtures. Weigh stock and scrap materials for salvage. Monitor production for defective parts for early detection. Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, regularly. Ensure materials handling recordkeeping is completed per company and ISO standards. Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, including setup and cleanup of the area at the start and end of shifts. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers. Essential Skills Manual hand dexterity. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Skilled in using hand tools for part fabrication. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with production line and finishing processes. Ability to use power drills, wire strippers, and crimpers. Skilled in the use of calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. Combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of specific educational qualifications. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing environment, requiring the ability to work under variable conditions, such as temperature fluctuations and exposure to atmospheric conditions like fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. The work involves handling solvents and other industrial chemicals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
