Job Description

Job Title:
Fitter / Welder Founded in 1972, Action Vibratory Equipment is committed to the design and manufacture of quality custom material-handling equipment and solutions. We serve a growing list of industries and customers worldwide, including sawmills, foundries, power plants, agriculture, and recycling facilities. ACTION is currently looking for an experienced Fitter/Fabricator for immediate full-time employment. This position is eligible for overtime pay as workload demands. Ideal candidates must be proficient at: MIG welding in all positions (flat, vertical, and overhead) Reading blueprints and technical drawings Building/assembling from blueprints with a high level of attention to detail Accurately reading a variety of measuring devices Must be familiar with all standard safety procedures Preferred experience: Prior experience as a Fitter/Fabricator or similar role in a production steel shop Fabricating large custom machinery Dual Shield Flux Core Prior leadership experience Bilingual (English and Spanish) Duties of position include, but are not limited to: Must be able to accurately read measuring devices and blueprints Layout parts, pans, bases, etc. according to specifications Safely operate overhead cranes to move parts and equipment Assemble parts into finished units with a high level of attention to detail Bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), kneeling and other out of position work is involved Some grinding and burning involved Some forklift and hand cart operation involved Follow standards and procedures for work being done Exercise quality control Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment Watch for and report safety hazards Pre-employment weld and/or fit test and drug screen are required.
