Job Title:
Assembly Technician Job Description The Assembly Technician supports the production of an electromechanical product by performing hands-on mechanical assembly and testing of various components in a modern manufacturing environment. You will receive clear work instructions and training, then work with minimal supervision while consistently producing high-quality products at the required production rate. This role suits someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, maintains a clean and organized work area, and collaborates respectfully with others. Responsibilities Assemble electromechanical products by following detailed written work instructions and established procedures. Perform mechanical assembly of small parts and components using hand tools and related equipment. Conduct basic testing of assembled components to verify proper operation and product quality. Use soldering techniques, when required, to assemble or repair components according to specifications. Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and testing. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and contribute to the cleanliness of the overall facility. Meet established production rates while maintaining consistent quality standards. Work with minimal supervision once trained, taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables. Use hand tools and, when applicable, digital multimeters and other basic test equipment correctly and safely. Demonstrate a positive attitude, respect for colleagues, and good organizational skills in daily work. Essential Skills Proven mechanical assembly skills with the ability to work with small parts and components. Ability to perform small parts assembly or soldering based on prior hands-on experience. Ability to follow written work instructions accurately and consistently. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality, precise work. Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work area and supporting overall facility cleanliness. Good organizational skills to manage tasks and meet production expectations. Positive, collaborative attitude and respect for others in a team environment. Comfort using hand tools for assembly tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using a digital multimeter to perform basic electrical measurements. Familiarity with soldering techniques for electronic or electromechanical assemblies. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics. Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment with electromechanical products. Why Work Here? The role is hands-on and production-focused in a shop-floor setting, with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and efficient workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $26.44/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
