Apply Assembler - Day Shift Wilsonville, OR Apply Job Type Full-time Description Vision Plastics, Inc, the Northwest leader in custom injection molding, is hiring Assemblers for day shift! Do you want to work in a clean environment and receive paid on-the-job training? Are you punctual, have good attendance, and can work independently, as well as with a team? If so, apply today!
POSITION
Perform hands-on assembly of plastic parts and inserts, ensuring each piece meets customer quality standards and is completed within established production rates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Read and follow Secondary Operating Instructions (SOI), as well as follow any verbal instructions. Assemble individual parts or components manually or with machinery. May include Sonic Welding, press fitting, gluing, drilling, milling, or other operations. Trim gates and flash to quality standards. Meet or exceed assembly production rates. Verify parts meet our standards for quality. Identify any rejects and reasons for rejection as needed. Keep an accurate count of all parts, either manually or using scales. Fill out count summaries, work orders, and labels accurately and legibly. Verify lot numbers with work order and container. Communicate effectively with other employees. Notify supervisor or lead of any problems. Proficient at 50% or more assembly jobs. Make suggestions to improve SOI's and other improvements to your supervisor and/or utilizing internal suggestion program (suggestion box, Make It Better, etc.)
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Keep area clean and neat for next shift. Operate injection molding machine in the production department, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be able to read, understand, and verbally communicate work instructions. Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Must possess basic reading, writing, math, and communication skills. Must be able to manually operate secondary machinery. Must be able lift, reach, and pull 10 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand for long (at least 8) hours. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, including temperatures reaching up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit occasionally.
