09/24/2026 Job Description Job Description Thompson First Group is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract to hire position with a local client in Aston, PA Candidates with experience working in a manufacturing or in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.
Job Purpose:
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line or production floor in a manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
Produce products by assembling parts and subassemblies. Experience and proficiency working with hand and power tools Have a basic understanding of blueprints, Certifications in forklift driving and/or blueprint reading would be pluses. Perform various mechanical assemblies and sub assemblies. Assembly/disassembly of components, inspection, and loading parts. Use general hand tools and power tools Use measuring equipment such as tape measures Following production guidelines and specifications. Ability to interpret schematic plans and/or blueprints. Following health and safety standards. Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor. Assembling products and parts. Following production guidelines and specifications. Finalizing and packaging products for shipment. Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment. Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products. Working on the production line and meeting production targets. Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty. Performing other tasks as assigned.
