Mounter Helper Job Description The Mounter Helper supports the tire mounting process for heavy construction equipment by assisting with the movement, preparation, and inspection of large tires and rims in a fast-paced production environment. This is a physically demanding, manual labor role that involves frequent heavy lifting, use of hand tools, and close collaboration with tire mounters to ensure efficient and accurate assembly. Responsibilities Assist tire mounters by rolling heavy construction tires to the rimming machine and positioning them for mounting. Ensure the correct rims are available for each tire assembly and verify that components match the required specifications. Attach the appropriate valves for different tire and rim assemblies, following established procedures and guidelines. Inspect rims for quality issues, including visual defects, and perform touch-up painting on rims as needed. Lift and maneuver tires and rims weighing approximately 75-150 lbs, including lifting them onto their sides when required. Use hand tools to support the tire mounting and assembly process safely and efficiently. Maintain a steady workflow in a fast-paced production environment, keeping busy and focused throughout the shift. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Adapt to different work areas within the plant as needed, including moving between different mounting lines. Support mounting operations on different product lines, including those with multiple rim assemblies that require additional detail and accuracy. Contribute to overall production goals by maintaining reliable attendance and consistent productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.
