The Deco Assembly Technician candidate will be responsible for installing and servicing all equipment in the Decorating and Assembly areas, as well as working in conjunction with the supervisors to identify problems and develop solutions relation to production, machinery and personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot machines. Machine installation. Coordinate PM's and special projects. Qualify newly designed components and products and develop feedback to customer service, technical engineering and Department Manager. Assist in improving run time, systems and procedures. Identify training issues with equipment, mechanics and operators. Train mechanics and operators. Know all relevant SOP's. Must be able to utilize electrical diagrams and troubleshoot. Must be able to utilize product catalog and MSDS books. Be able to set up and program visions system. Complete purchase orders and all maintenance request paperwork. Utilize precision measuring devices. Install and set up new equipment. Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Technical training to include:
Machinist I and II classes & Industrial Maintenance I and II classes. Proficient blueprint reading. Excellent communication and training skills.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the ability to effectively communicate information to/from the employer/clients by written, verbal or other designated means as required by the employer. Basic math skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have knowledge of all automatic and semi-automatic deco equipment. Have working knowledge of the following: Straight line labeler Rotary labeler All types of conveyors All assembly systems and set up procedures All feeder orientators All photoeyes All types of switches All types of motor controllers All types of electrical motors Programmable controllers Flame testing equipment Fusion system All emergency type "shut offs" Security system Inex system.
