About the Role As a CNC Metal Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming raw sheet metal into high-precision components that drive our production success. You will leverage your technical expertise to operate advanced machinery, ensuring every part meets rigorous quality standards while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Responsibilities Configure and operate CNC equipment, including lasers, punch presses, and press brakes, to achieve precise metal fabrication outcomes. Execute in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to guarantee that all components align with engineering specifications. Proactively troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain a high-functioning, safe, and organized production environment. Maintain consistent production throughput by managing repetitive tasks with high attention to detail and efficiency. Facilitate seamless shift transitions by communicating critical production updates and status reports to team members and supervisors. Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and contribute to the overall quality of finished metal products. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience operating CNC lasers, punch presses, or press brakes within a sheet metal fabrication setting. Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret complex blueprints and technical fabrication drawings. Proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions. Physical capability to stand for extended shifts and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. A strong commitment to workplace safety and a detail-oriented approach to manufacturing tasks. Preferred Skills Direct experience with CNC programming software for equipment such as Trumpf, Amada, Accupress, Cincinnati, or Bystronic. Proven ability to perform complex machine setups and adjustments for diverse production runs. Experience or interest in mentoring junior operators and sharing technical knowledge to elevate team performance.
