Job Description

We are looking for Assemblers for our fast growing company!
Job Summary:
Assembly personnel are responsible for performing diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble equipment. May be required to utilize, repair and maintenance small hand tools or other items needed to perform mechanical assembly functions. An Assembler is required to have knowledge of blueprints to determine required assembly method and may be required to make alignments or adjustments in the assembly process. Must be able to read print, perform needed operation, and be able to verify conformance of finished product to the print. Must be able to lay out, position and machine parts, components or structures according to specifications. An Assembler may drill, cut material or clean. An Assembler will also be responsible for his/her safety and the safety of those around him/her. This will include a clean workstation before/during/after daily production.
Job Duties:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Read blueprints - analyze drawings and specifications to plan layout, and assembly functions and operations. Perform assembly tasks over a lengthy time span Be able to use multiple small hand tools Be comfortable with reading blueprints or specifications to understand assembly of product Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications Maintain appropriate records, reports clean work area at end of shift Other duties as assigned
Job Skills/Abilities:
Using various small hand tools Reading and understanding shop blueprints, work instructions, or job specifications Pushing / pulling 40 lbs. of materials Using good hand / eye coordination Using manual dexterity bending, stretching, twisting and/or reaching being mechanically inclined being self-motivated (independent) having problem solving skills having good verbal communication skills analyzing and interpreting data Essential Job Functions / Working Conditions Ability to work 8-hour shift (some overtime may be required) Maintains knowledge of products being assembled Ability to use hand tools Maintains knowledge of manufacturing system (Job Boss) Ability to use tow motors and pump carts Ability to Work and communicate well with others Ability to frequently stand Ability to work in dirty and noisy environment Ability to work in some temperature extremes Ability to make repetitive motions with one or both hands
