Job Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Assemblers (Level B) for a contract opportunity in Lemont Furnace or Smithfield, PA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIREDSKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):- 1 + years' experience reading, understanding, engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
- Experience in a highly regulated environment where compliance is critical
- 1+ years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations
- Exhibits a strong commitment to growth, development and professionalism to drive learning and development for continuous improvement within the manufacturing team
- Work independently to develop, modify, and document actions to assure problem resolution and/or to implement correction action and/or preventive action
- Engages in ongoing learning to build and maintain necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Has substantial and thorough understanding of the job.
- Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.
- Receives general supervision with basic instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments
- Performs routine or standardized work, choosing from a variety of well-established options.
- Work is reviewed for soundness and overall adequacy and accuracy
- Errors may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIREDSKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):- 1 + year of experience working with specialized tools (e.g., electrical and mechanical wire crimpers and strippers, wire routing tools, accessing computer files, multimeters)
- Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, and engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data)
- Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. Participates in the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes to ensure that conformance and reproducibility requirements are met
- Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
