Job Title:
Production Assembler Job Description This role combines factory-based assembly work with on-site delivery and installation of sports equipment at a variety of customer locations, including stadiums, gyms, training facilities, and other venues. You assemble products according to detailed specifications, travel to customer sites to install equipment safely and accurately, and provide clear, courteous support during and after installation. Responsibilities Perform factory assembly work when not scheduled for off-site assignments, following product specifications and quality standards. Deliver sports equipment to customer locations such as stadiums, gyms, training facilities, and other venues in a safe and timely manner. Assemble and set up sports equipment according to product specifications and customer requirements. Ensure all equipment is installed safely and properly, adhering to company and industry standards. Provide on-site customer support by answering questions, explaining equipment setup, and addressing concerns during installation. Inspect delivered items before installation to verify quality, completeness, and accuracy against order requirements. Perform minor repairs or adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction. Coordinate closely with logistics and customer service teams to schedule deliveries and installations efficiently. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, including routine checks, cleaning, and proper storage. Follow all safety protocols and procedures during transportation, delivery, assembly, and installation activities. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices accurately while assembling wood components to equipment. Read and interpret diagrams or blueprints to guide assembly and installation tasks. Essential Skills Proven ability to use a variety of hand tools for mechanical and wood-related assembly tasks. Proficiency with power tools used for assembling wood components to equipment. Ability to read, understand, and apply diagrams or blueprints during assembly and installation. Experience in mechanical assembly, including accurate fitting and alignment of components. Competence in using a tape measure and other measuring tools to ensure precise assembly and installation. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols while performing assembly, delivery, and installation work. Capability to inspect equipment for quality and completeness prior to installation. Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments to equipment on site. Strong attention to detail and commitment to installing equipment according to product specifications and standards. Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams during scheduling, delivery, and installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a factory, warehouse, or production environment. Background in field installation or service work at customer locations. Comfort working with sports equipment or similar mechanical products. Ability to organize and maintain tools and equipment for both shop and field work. Work Environment This position is based in a factory environment with regular off-site work at customer locations such as stadiums, gyms, and training facilities. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You work with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other mechanical assembly equipment, both in the shop and on site. The role involves physical tasks such as handling materials, assembling components, and setting up equipment in a variety of indoor and occasionally outdoor settings, while consistently following established safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnton, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
