The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and engineering residential & commercial window and door systems within a manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in 3D modeling, manufacturing drawings, product development, system optimization, and custom project engineering. Experience with stainless steel window and door systems is highly preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong CAD and 3D modeling skills with Solidworks, Inventor or Fusion 360, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and sales teams. Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling, design and develop window and door systems for manufacturing using SolidWorks, Inventor or Fusion 360, and CAD software. Create detailed manufacturing drawings, fabrication packages, BOMs, and assembly documentation. Engineer custom and standard window and door solutions to meet architectural, structural, thermal, and performance requirements. Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and product quality. Work closely with sales, project managers, architects, and customers to develop engineered solutions. Review specifications, shop drawings, and project requirements for accuracy and feasibility. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, industry standards, and testing requirements. Support product testing, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage time & engineering schedules, priorities, and project deliverables. Assist with troubleshooting production and installation issues when needed. Participate in research and development of new products and systems. Required Qualifications Two-Five Years Prior experience working within a window and door manufacturing company is required. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor and/or Fusion 360. Advanced CAD drafting and 3D modeling experience. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing stainless steel window and door systems. Knowledge of thermally broken systems, curtain walls, and impact-rated products. Familiarity with CNC manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding processes. Experience with structural calculations and finite element analysis (FEA). Understanding of NFRC, AAMA, ASTM, Miami-Dade, and Florida Building Code requirements. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and engineering change management. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license a plus. Desired Skills & Competencies Self-Motivated with excellent team communication skills.
